Frequently Asked Questions

Who is the ALDN Network for?

  • Any LALD or assisted living leader in Minnesota, looking to connect with peers to talk about challenges, brainstorm ideas or network. We talk about staffing, survey questions, or other regulatory changes.

Who is the mentorship program for?

  • Any candidate for a Minnesota Assisted Living Director License (LALD), including any Assisted Living Director in Residence (AL-DIR) looking to complete the mentorship part of their application. We only provide mentorship- candidates would need to take the LALD course and exams separately as well as complete the other elements required for licensure.

Is the mentorship program free?

  • No, we charge a one-time, up front fee for the mentorship. For this fee, we provide a structured process so that you understand exactly what work has to be completed to fulfill your mentorship hours, we provide 1:1 check ins with your mentor to keep you on track, we provide weekly virtual office hours to get any questions answered, we provide an online platform to ask questions 24/7 with any of our mentors able to respond and network with other LALD candidates and LALDs in Minnesota.

What do I need to complete the mentorship?

  • Our service is provided 100% virtually. You will need an operating assisted living facility (if you are just starting up, you will need residents in house before you begin the mentorship hours). You will need access to all aspects of the assisted living operation- financial, clinical, etc. Reach out if this is problem- we offer a free message board to connect with those looking for LALD candidates and we are happy to talk to any assisted living considering taking on an LALD candidate for mentorship.

What if I have additional questions?

  • Please reach out! We would love to talk through your specific situation and see how we can help.
